Fresh Ideas Food Management Services has made great contributions to Westminster's push towards campus sustainability. In 2012, together with the Officers of EcoHouse, Fresh Ideas implemented a tray-less policy in the Dining Hall. Going tray-less is a great way to cut back on water consumption used in dishwashing. It also helps to keep students mindful of food waste. In 2015, Fresh Ideas made reusable “Choose to Reuse” to-go boxes available for purchase, as well as Fresh Ideas-labeled tumblers, both of which can be used in JCI to reduce the waste of coffee cups and waxy trays.
