Assessment Policies

The Assessment Committee will offer policies, monitor their effectiveness, and propose modifications as needed to guide the assessment process at Westminster College.

Retention and Access to Assessment Materials

All original assessment materials (e.g. surveys, portfolios, writing samples) completed by students will be retained by the Director of Assessment for a period of seven years.

Access to these materials will be restricted, without written approval, to the Director of Assessment, the Director of Institutional Research, the Dean of Faculty, the Associate Dean of Faculty, and the Dean of Students, or to their designated representatives.

Others wishing access to original assessment materials (e.g. for research purposes) should submit a written request to the Director of Assessment. The Director of Assessment will discuss the request with the Assessment Committee, and with the consent of the committee, may grant access to the materials.
