Beyond the Classroom

The International Economic Development Minor aims to complement non-economics majors by providing a fundamental understanding of global economic issues that include economic development, international trade and international finance. The minor will develop skills in applying economic analysis to international issues and social problems.

Students who do a major in Finance can easily pick up this minor, with careful choosing of classes and by taking 2 additional classes.

The focus of this minor is to provide students with knowledge of economic theories in an international context so that students are able to apply them to analyze economic and other social problems and issues.  This minor makes students aware of the struggles and opportunities of developing countries.
