Sarah Rummel Backer has worked at Westminster College since 2018. She graduated from Westminster in 1992 with a degree in English Literature and emphases in Business and Spanish. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and strategic communication in the areas of higher education, medicine, agriculture, and the private business sector. As Westminster’s resident writer, Sarah feels at home livening up beige language like “maximizing organizational efficiencies.” She currently is earning a master’s degree in Communication, which she works on at nights while ignoring her large family’s ever-growing laundry piles. Sarah jokes it’s all for Westminster College — a living, breathing character in the best of stories. Sarah hopes to convey just how fabulous her alma mater is to anyone who glances at her writing.
