Campus Safety and Security
The mission of campus security is to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our Westminster College community through service-oriented policing. Campus security officers are charged with the enforcement of College policies and regulations and maintains a close working relationship with all local law enforcement agencies. Campus security is service-oriented and it is a cooperative effort with involvement from the campus community which creates a successful safety/security program.
A security officer escort is available every evening from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for on-campus locations ONLY. Call campus security at 573-592-5555 and an officer will be dispatched to your location and accompany you safely to your destination.
Students with firearms must store them off campus or with campus security. Refer to the Student Handbook for more information.
Timely efforts are made to advise members of the campus community emergency situations. Sign up to receive Emergency Text Alert.
To report a crime or fire or to summon police or an ambulance in an emergency, dial 911. This should be followed by a call to campus security 573-592-5555.

Campus security will take reasonable action to secure college buildings and all college property against vandalism, theft, and fire. Security officers conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols of campus.
Students are responsible for protecting/securing personal property and college property. Students are encouraged to seek insurance coverage on personal property. The college is not responsible for the security of personal property or its loss due to a man-made or natural disaster.
