The Transfer Experience
Every transfer student’s situation is different, and a one-size-fits-all approach just doesn’t work. Westminster’s approach is built around individual attention to your situation: your credit, your major, your goals for the future.
What to Expect at Westminster
Before you start classes, you’ll work with experienced advisors who understand how best to make what you’ve already accomplished in college work for you at Westminster. We’ll discuss your options, outline a plan to make sure your goals can be reached, and get you registered for your first semester’s classes.
In that first semester you’ll be placed in WSM 102, a one-credit Westminster Seminar designed specifically for transfer students, which will acquaint you with the services and resources available, and help you work on the academic skills you need to thrive at Westminster. You’ll work closely with your transfer advisor to make sure that you get the classes you need in order to finish your requirements and become not just a Westminster student, but a Westminster graduate.

“I immediately felt a part of a tight-knit community that wanted me to succeed. The small class sizes intimidated me at first because I couldn’t “hide” behind the engagement of other students. I began to realize that it was this intimate setting that challenged me, yet made me feel welcome to explore my education and passions and I began to thrive. Westminster provided the best educational experience while simultaneously preparing me for post-graduation career life.”
