Hiring a Westminster Student
Post a Job or Internship
Handshake is a platform created for students, alumni, and WC supporters. Think LinkedIn but focused on the Blue Jay community. Members can communicate with each other through private messaging, scheduled phone calls, or through a variety of community groups. Alumni and supporter members participate because they feel strongly about helping students navigate the sometimes-tricky world of job searching and career exploration.
In order to post, it must meet the following standards:
- Include complete organization and contact information (organization name, address, organization URL, contact name, contact email, contact phone number).
- Adhere to NACE Principles of Professional Conduct for Employment Professionals.
- Must not charge any fees to students.
Hiring International Students
International students can often bring unique perspectives and multiple language skills to an organization; however, some industry partners are not completely informed of their options for these students. Hopefully, this information about hiring international students document will be helpful.
For industry partners interested in the E-Visa, refer to this list of eligible countries of citizenship.
WC Internship Program
While many organizations have structured internship programs, others are not as familiar with how an intern can be of assistance. Contact James Kendall, Internship Coordinator, to discuss what it means to host an intern. He can be reached at 573-592-5380 or James.Kendall@WCMO.edu.
More information about our Internship Program can be found on the WC Internship Program page.
