What I teach: Psychology
How I help online students succeed: I strive to accomplish this through thorough feedback, which I see as a conversation with students, noting both strengths and areas of opportunity. I also enjoy connecting with students via video modality, which helps make the online learning experience feel more personalized.
My online teaching philosophy: My teaching philosophy is one of empowerment. I encourage students to take ownership of their work and feel proud of the improvements that they make in their academic journeys. Growth isn't always easy, but it is worth it. After a student completes my course, I hope that there is a feeling of pride in looking at how far they've come. Then, I know I've done my job well!
How I make a difference: I challenge students to be more than they initially think they can be: I want them to be their best. I have high standards, because I know that with the right guidance, students can meet (or exceed) them.
Fun fact about me: I am a homeschooling mom of five!
